Janet Karel of Sausalito has cute, clever T-shirt designs that will bring a smile to your face—and help you rock on, or maybe rock out.
She recently launched Cats, Dogs & Rock ’N’ Roll with “Rockin’ T-Shirts for Pet Lovers,” and the two Tees sent to Bay Woof to try— Labbey Rd. and Daydream Retriever—absolutely rocked.
Karel is an animal and music lover whose idea is melding popular pet breeds with pop songs to promote fun and connection, using Labrador and golden retrievers, Jack Russells, and Chihuahuas, for instance, alongside designs inspired by The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, and The Monkees.
The all-cotton Labbey came in a lovely blue in a women’s V-neck cut and will be in heavy rotation for sure and held up well after washing and drying. But the Daydream, in white, was equally adorbs, even wrinkled. It’s sure hard to get that song out of the head.
